De Bruyn Capital participates in private equity through the direct acquisition and long-term ownership of privately held businesses. We do not operate a fund, nor do we raise third-party capital. Instead, we invest exclusively with capital from within our own structure.
Our Approach to Ownership
We acquire businesses with clear fundamentals, reliable operations, and enduring relevance in their markets. Our role as owner is deliberately restrained: we do not involve ourselves in daily operations, nor do we seek aggressive restructuring.
Where needed, we provide structural clarity, long-term planning, and access to capital. But we believe that continuity, in people, culture, and process is often the most overlooked asset in any transition.

Because our capital base is private we are not bound by exit timelines, return thresholds, or short-term incentives.
This allows us to approach ownership with patience and discretion supporting outcomes that benefit not only financial performance, but also long-term resilience.
